Follow up on the story of the cat. It's Not as we initially thought. WeHo Community Cats was at the handoff today at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station and it was determined to be an honest mistake by the driver. We truly believe the driver acted with good intentions to help the cat.
We had hoped to capture a heartfelt reunion on video, but unfortunately, the exchange became uncomfortable—despite both the driver’s explanation and the Sheriff’s clarification- the cats owner continues to accuse the driver of theft.

Amazing! In Canada, even the coldest winters are being softened with a touch of innovation and compassion. Certain city parks now feature park benches equipped with fold-out insulated compartments — tiny warm shelters designed specifically for stray cats, dogs, and other small urban animals.
During snowstorms or freezing nights, these hidden compartments provide a safe, dry, and insulated space where animals can rest. The design is simple yet thoughtful: when not in use, the compartments fold seamlessly back into the bench, preserving the park’s aesthetics.
This initiative isn’t just about comfort — it’s about reducing winter mortality among urban wildlife and encouraging communities to share public spaces responsibly. Park-goers can enjoy the outdoors while knowing that vulnerable animals have a cozy refuge during harsh weather.
