Ginger Rogers Beach Ceremony hosted by LA County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath | LGBT Hollywood

As early as 1940, Los Angeles’ young gay men could be seen visiting the unofficial “gay beach” north of Santa Monica, a section of Will Rogers State Beach affectionately known as “Ginger Rogers Beach.” Supervisor Horvath unveils the painting of Lifeguard Towers 17 and 18 and the installation of brand new interpretive signage on the history of this LGBTQ+ friendly beach.
